hi. i'm jason.

i built my first web site in 1998 while taking a business computers class in college. i realized it was what i wanted to do, but at that time there wasn't a college with a program in web design. so i left college, left illinois, taught myself html, then learned css and started doing client work in 2003. in 2005 it started paying the bills.

i've worked in house for companies, worked for a design studio, and have been freelancing as prairie fire design and doing project work for some agencies like high tide creative, noble, deep.

i miss the culture of the agency though, and would love to return to one.

i currently live in springfield, il - but i have no attachment to this town, just a month to month apartment (no lease), and i'm just finishing up a 3 month contract for a company.
